Click&Go has launched a new website for Leaving Cert holidays with some insider knowledge in the form of 18-year-old entrepreneur Mikey Wylde.

The travel company said its new website, leavingholidays.ie, will enable students to book holidays for after their Leaving Cert, but it will also provide support and assistance to both youngsters and their parents.

Mikey Wylde surveyed 1000 recently-graduated sixth-year students in Dublin, Cork and Meath, and found that 84pc had gone on a holiday following the completion of their exams. He also discovered fears among parents that some of the properties in holiday resorts don’t exist or students didn’t have a safety net or point of contact if they encounter any issues while abroad.

The site will sell packages to popular destinations such as Salou, Kavos and Magaluf from Dublin and regional airports where applicable. Reps will be available in the main resorts to provide assistance and support to young holiday-makers who book through the online service, Click&go said.

There will also be a fully staffed sales and operations team based in its Dublin office to offer support overseas and to parents seven days per week.
