- Etihad single daily on Dublin September 15
- Was single daily until June
Etihad will return to single daily on Dublin to Abu Dhabi from September 2016 and throughout 2017. The last double daily service will be on September 15 2016.
The airline will offer a daily 380-seat B777 service instead of double daily 262-seat A330. Available business class go down from 44 to 40 daily and economy seats down by 120.
Etihad operated single daily since January 2016 but returned to double daily service from Dublin to Abu Dhabi on June 15.
Currently the airline operates a B777-200 3 days a week (Wed, Thur and Fri) for the EY42 (morning departure from DUB). The other 4 days use an A330.
The EY48 (evening departure) operates using an A330 all days. The A330 will have 262 seats and the B777 has 412 seats.
Etihad said in a written statement: Etihad Airways is implementing some adjustments to its network and schedule including the service to Dublin. The carrier’s service between Abu Dhabi and the Irish capital will operate on a daily basis from 16 September 2016, compared to the current double-daily frequency. Etihad EY45/42 service will be operated by a Boeing 777-300ER offering 40 Business class and 340 Economy class seats. The single daily schedule will continue to provide guests with convenient timings for travelling between Dublin and Abu Dhabi, and onward connectivity to key markets in the Middle East, Indian subcontinent, Asia and Australia. It is currently anticipated that double daily service will resume in the Summer 2017 season. Further information will be provided once the Summer 2017 schedule plan is finalized.
