A strong opening week of January for holiday bookings has continued into the second week.Sunway say most sales are ahead and some are on par depending on the destination. Falcon Holidays say that sales of 10 to 14 night hoidays are the best since the recession. American Holidays say that sales are very strong considering the exchange rate with trading ahead o last year and lots of Multi centre USA , Cruise and Stay also big demand on Mexico.. Cassidy have had what they describe as a fabulous start to new year across travel shops and online, families are back booking summer sun and Easter with big increases in bookings across all sections including cruise . all inclusive, long haul, bookings are ahead year on year with Holiday World and end of month payday still to come .

Topflight and Crystal both report strong ski and snow sales as snow continues to fall across the Alps. Base depths have increased dramatically across the region as a result, and conditions both on and off the piste are improving daily as snow falls all the way down the village level in many resorts. Avalanche danger remains high (currently 4 out of 5 across much of Europe. A light dusting of fresh snow has fallen in the Pyrenees, which has been doing less well. The Rocky Mountains are continuing a terrific start to the season.
