69pc of Ireland’s air passengers went through Dublin airport in 2025

The proportion of passenger traffic on and off then island passing through Dublin Airport has grown slightly in 2025 to 68.9pc, but is marginally down on 2023,.

Cork,Knock and Derry all look like recording double digit passenger growth. Dublin’s proportion was 68.8 in 2024, 70.1 in 2023 and 69.5 pre-pandemic. 

The two Belfast airports handled 18pc of Ireland’s air traffic, Cork 7pc & Shannon 4pc. Dublin share is lower than Copenhagen (89), Amsterdam (86), Vienna (88) & comparable to Brussels, Slovakia, Stockholm, Vilnius & Nicosia. Heathrow is 58pc
