China’s Juneyao Air is planing the purchase of twenty-five A320-family aircraft. The Shanghai-based carrier targets expansion with a deal worth €3.8 billion at list prices. Deliveries are scheduled between 2028 and 2032.
Juneyao Air disclosed their intentions in stock exchange filings with the purchase described as complemented the existing Airbus fleet. A320neo variants will offer fuel efficiency gains as the carrier pursues the operation of a hybrid full-service model. The order will support both domestic and regional growth with Juneyao complementing narrowbody with Boeing 787-9s for longer routes.
The agreement awaits regulatory approvals.
