AerCap delivered a new Airbus A350-900 to LATAM Airlines Group. The aircraft was transferred to LATAM Airlines at the Airbus Delivery Centre in Toulouse.

AerCap has one of the largest Airbus A350XWB portfolios with a total of seven owned and another 22 on order aircraft. The A350XWB is the first Airbus aircraft with both fuselage and wing structures made primarily of carbon-fibre-reinforced polymer. It  competes with Boeing’s 787 and 777.

AerCap President and Chief Commercial Officer Philip Scruggs said, “LATAM Airlines is a longstanding customer and we are delighted to support its fleet renewal program by delivering the first of nine Airbus A350-900 aircraft. The A350-900 offers greater capacity and increased range which will support its growing network, as well as improved operational efficiency. We look forward to continuing our successful relationship with our friends and partners at LATAM Airlines as the airline expands its fleet.”
