AerCap Holdings has confirmed it has signed purchase and leaseback agreements with Virgin Atlantic for six new Airbus A330-900 aircraft from Virgin Atlantic’s open orderbook. Deliveries are set to commence in the second quarter of 2026 and extend through the fourth quarter of 2027. This transaction strengthens the longstanding partnership between AerCap and Virgin Atlantic.

The A330neo incorporates advanced technology with high efficiency, aiding Virgin Atlantic’s widebody fleet renewal and its dedication to sustainability through reduced emissions and improved operational performance. Virgin Atlantic has committed billions to operate the youngest and most efficient fleet across the Atlantic. The incoming A330neo aircraft will feature larger Premium and Upper cabins, along with more Retreat Suites.

AerCap serves around 300 customers worldwide with comprehensive fleet solutions and holds one of the most attractive order books in the industry. Virgin Atlantic, founded in 1984, operates a leading transatlantic network with partners and joined SkyTeam in 2023. The airline aims for Net Zero by 2050 and plans a fully next-generation fleet by 2028.
