Virgin Atlantic confirmed a sale and leaseback agreement with AerCap for six A330-900Ns to deliver between the second quarter of 2026 and the end of 2027. The airline operates eight A330-900Ns currently. Plans include adding sixteen more, with twelve from Airbus direct order and four from other sources.
AerCap leases seven B787-9s to Virgin Atlantic already. The transaction covers future deliveries. Virgin Atlantic bases at London Heathrow.

Aercap shared in a written statement “Virgin Atlantic has signed a sale and leaseback agreement with AerCap covering six A330-900Ns, to be delivered between the second quarter of 2026 and the end of 2027. The airline already operates eight A330-900Ns and plans to add a further 16, including 12 on a direct order from Airbus and four from undisclosed sources.”
