Mulberry Garden in Donnybrook (website) topped the TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards for 2016. Out of the 411 reviews submitted on TripAdvisor, 312 of those rated the Mulberry Garden as excellent.
The resrtrauanrt was the venue for Sunway’s recent 50th anniversary party for suppleirs and media.
Idás Restaurant, owned by chef Kevin Murphy, nabbed second position with 223 ‘excellent’ reviews out of a total of 285. It is one of three restaurants from Dingle to feature in the top ten, while four came from Dublin, and one each in Donegal, Kinsale and Westport. Cork’s Cafe Paradiso was the top restaurant in 2015 but not included in the 2016 top ten.
Harvey’s Point placed fourth fourth for Colin McKee’s two AA Rosette restaurant, having won TripAdvisor’s reader’s choice Irish hotel for the fourth year running earlier this year.
Martin Berasategui in Lasarte, Spain, topped the worldwide Tripadvisor fine dineing list for the No.1 spot for the second year in a row.
TripAdvisor spokesperson, Hayley Coleman said “for Mulberry Garden to have claimed the number one spot in Ireland when the fine dining scene is so competitive is no easy feat and just proves what a great job the team is doing,”
