Topflight for Schools operated its first exclusive ski charter from Shannon Airport on 26 January 2026.

Over 160 transition year students from Castletroy College in Limerick flew to Verona for a week in Folgarida and Marilleva resorts in northern Italy. The programme provides local departures for schools in Munster and the west of Ireland.

More flights from Shannon are planned for next week involving schools from Limerick, Galway and Cork.

The operator confirmed plans to more than treble capacity in 2027 with over 2,400 seats to Italy and Austria. The initiative reduces travel time and simplifies check-in for groups. Students gain access to skiing, snow and adventure activities.
