Aegean Airlines tops the Airadvisor list of Europe’s best airlines for 2026 with a score of 10.30, excelling in comfort, safety, and lounge reviews while maintaining strong customer reputation. Finnair follows in second at 9.89, praised for consistency in safety and lounges but hindered by reliability data gaps. Iberia claims third place with 9.78, improving from sixth in 2025 through high marks in pet and family travel alongside professional reviews.

Lufthansa ranks fourth at 9.67, noted for pet travel and comfort despite average reliability. KLM and SAS tie for fifth at 8.78, both achieving maximum points in safety, family, and pet categories.

Norwegian Air Shuttle places seventh at 8.11 as the top low-cost carrier, leading in customer reputation and safety. Air France is eighth at 8.00, topping professional reviews but impacted by a 2024 accident. TAP Air Portugal ranks ninth at 7.22, offering affordability yet struggling with cancellations. Volotea climbs to tenth at 6.78, boosted by awards and reviews despite lacking lounges. Vueling is eleventh at 6.50, strong in reliability but weak in comfort and reviews.

Ryanair ranks twelfth at 6.44, leading reliability with 88pc on-time rates but low in comfort and pets. Wizz Air is thirteenth at 6.33, the cheapest at €0.0417 per seat kilometre yet bottom in reviews and family travel. LOT Polish Airlines places fourteenth at 6.22, with solid safety but poor on-time performance.
