El Al Israel Airlines has resumed inbound services to return stranded passengers after limited reopening of Tel Aviv Ben Gurion Airport and Israeli airspace.
Authorities authorised flights with prior permission from 0910 local time on 4 March with arrivals only from the west and one per hour initially.
El Al prioritised returning Israelis from twenty-two destinations in Europe, Thailand, and the United States while suspending outbound flights and sales until 21 March.
Arkia Israeli Airlines and Israir operated repatriation charters to Taba and Sharm el Sheikh in Egypt using wet-leased A320-200s. Fly Erbil began repatriation charters from Sirnak in Turkish Kurdistan with a chartered A320-200.
