Syria partially reopens airspace for Aleppo airport operations

Syria’s General Authority of Civil Aviation has partially reopened airspace allowing operations to and from Aleppo.

The NOTAM takes effect on March 4 at 1550 local time requiring strict cooperation with air traffic control.

Damascus remains closed to all traffic and transit flights over Syria stay prohibited. No airlines currently operate to Aleppo despite the reopening. The measure follows assessments of operational and security conditions in the region.
