American Airlines has officially joined America250 as a lead sponsor and the official airline partner for the United States’ 250th anniversary celebrations in 2026. This partnership coincides with American Airlines’ own centennial year, marking 100 years since its first airmail flight in 1926.
The airline will paint two aircraft—a Boeing 737 and an Embraer 175—in official America250 colors to carry the celebration across its domestic and international networks.
“America Innovates” Showcase: American will serve as the official airline for this traveling exhibition, which highlights 250 years of U.S. ingenuity and progress. The airline joins other major “Signature Partners” in supporting the America250 initiative, including Walmart, Coca-Cola, Kraft Heinz, and Stellantis.
America250 is the nonpartisan organization established by Congress to lead the 250th-anniversary commemoration of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The multi-year effort aims to engage all 350 million Americans through events and programs leading up to the July 4, 2026, milestone.
