Global air passenger demand will reaches 20.8 trillion revenue passenger kilometres by 2050 under the mid range scenario, according to IATA.
The compound annual growth rate stands at 3.1pc from 2024 to 2050 based on 9 trillion revenue passenger kilometres in 2024. Asia Pacific and Africa are recording the fastest growing regions with compound annual growth rates of 3.8pc and 3.6pc respectively. Intra Africa routes show the highest growth at 4.9pc compound annual growth rate.
