airBaltic is opening a seasonal base at Tenerife Sur during the winter 2026/27 season. The Latvian airline is connecting the island with Liège, Palanga and Ljubljana while expanding its network from the existing seasonal base at Gran Canaria. New flights from Kuusamo in northern Finland are starting from mid-December without a base there.
The move strengthens airBaltic’s winter operations and adds scheduled passenger services to Liège. airBaltic is operating across Europe with a focus on leisure destinations in the Canary Islands during the winter period. The airline is continuing flights from its Riga hub and other points.
The seasonal base at Tenerife Sur will support increased connectivity for passengers travelling to the Canary Islands in winter 2026/27.
