ITA Airways is adopting New Distribution Capability technology through a strategic partnership with Accelya as part of its digital and commercial transformation. 

The partnership uses Accelya-powered Lufthansa Group NDC API technology and is enabling travel agencies, online travel agencies, tour operators and travel management companies to access tailored offers including ancillaries. This marks ITA Airways’ first NDC-enabled retail implementation.

The adoption establmishes a scalable foundation for future growth and revenue generation while aligning with Lufthansa Group’s modernisation agenda. Accelya is processing nearly 50pc of global NDC transactions and is providing proven scale for richer customer-centric shopping experiences. Once live the partnership theoretically ensures higher conversion rates and improved merchandising across channels.
