Wizz Air CEO József Váradi has described the now-defunct subsidiary Wizz Air Abu Dhabi as a mistake. He stated that the decision looked good at the time it was made. Váradi has stressed that Wizz Air will continue to enter new markets in the future.
The low-cost carrier has seen significantly stronger bookings for this summer compared with 2025. Wizz Air operates Airbus A321-200NX aircraft from its base in Budapest.
