Jet2.com has officially become the first major English based airline and tour operator to launch its Winter Sun programme for the 2027/28 season.
The early rollout by the Jet2 Plc group responds directly to strong consumer demand from holidaymakers looking to lock in their travel plans and secure early-booking prices well in advance. Highlights include:
- Total Capacity: Almost 4.5 million seats are now live on the booking systems.
- Network Breadth: Passengers can choose from 181 different routes.
- Destinations: A total of 17 winter sun hotspots are on offer across popular warm-weather regions.
- Airport Bases: Flights will operate out of all 14 airport bases.
- Full Winter Operations to Egypt: This schedule marks Jet2’s very first full-season winter schedule to Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada.
- Heavy Canary Islands Presence: The operator will run extensive services to Tenerife, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, and Fuerteventura from all 14 bases, alongside selective services to La Palma from Manchester and London Stansted.
- Broad Destination Portfolio: Other major spots on sale include mainland Spain (Alicante, Malaga), the Balearics (Majorca), Portugal (Faro, Madeira), Turkey (Antalya), Malta, Morocco (Marrakech, Agadir), and Cyprus (Paphos).
The move allows for extended booking windows and reflects strong forward demand despite ongoing geopolitical factors influencing travel patterns. The programme includes new routes and increased capacity from regional airports.
