British Airways has launched the first iteration of its new mobile app as part of the ongoing transformation programme.
The app includes a new day of travel home screen with relevant information for users. Future updates cover real-time baggage tracking and expanded self-service options. The carrier revealed plans for the app in March 2024 within a £7 billion programme.
The rollout followed months of testing with a beta community. Users access passport scanning, interactive terminal maps, live journey updates from Heathrow and Gatwick, and lounge occupancy details at Heathrow T5. British Airways Club members track Avios and Tier Points in the app.
British Airways shared “the new app provides a modern platform that will enable additional features to be introduced more quickly.”
