The Lord Mayor of Dublin, Daryl Barron, will officially launch the EQUIP Sport Hub at Le Fanu Park in Ballyfermot today at 10.30am. The launch celebrates a partnership between Dublin City Council, EQUIP and the Kansas City Chiefs, one of the NFL’s most successful franchises. KC Wolf, the Chiefs’ mascot, will appear alongside local youth groups and the Dublin City Wolves.
The new hub is designed to encourage young people and local communities to get active, connect through sport and enjoy inclusive recreational opportunities. The event will bring together community partners, local children and civic leaders to celebrate the collaboration.
The launch will feature representatives from Dublin City Council, EQUIP and local youth groups and summer camp participants.
