Hawaiian Airlines to upgrade interisland fleet with Boeing 737-800s

Hawaiian Airlines will replace its ageing Boeing 717 fleet with larger Boeing 737-800 sourced from sister carrier Alaska Airlines for neighbour island services, starting the transition in 2028.

The move will increase capacity, improve reliability for high cycle operations, and enhance the guest experience with premium interiors, more first class and premium seats, and fast free Starlink Wi Fi. Alaska will also operate some seven three seven services on key routes from this autumn.
