United States international air passenger enplanements reached 24.6m in June 2026, a 1.6pc decline compared with the previous year. This marks the second consecutive month of shrinking demand, influenced by higher airfares and jet fuel costs.

Overseas visitor arrivals also fell modestly despite the ongoing FIFA World Cup, while outbound US citizen travel decreased. Mexico, Canada and the United Kingdom remained top source markets.
