Bark Air, the dog-first charter service created by Bark Inc., is adding brushing, coat wipes, paw balm and pet cologne ahead of International Dog Day on 26 August. The grooming service was developed with Pride+Groom, whose products will be used by Bark Air’s concierge staff. The kit includes The Swipe, an antiseptic coat wipe; The Bath Brush, intended to stimulate natural oils; and The Balm for noses and paws, with each ticket also including a pet cologne with bergamot, citrus and ylang ylang.
Flights generally carry about 10 dogs with their companions, with destinations including Dublin, Kona, Lisbon, London, Los Angeles, Madrid, New York, Paris, San Francisco, and Stockholm. The animals remain in the cabin with room to move, while concierge intake covers temperament, diet and documentation. Flight attendants provide treats, calming aids and assistance with border crossings.
The $9,900 ticket covers one dog and one human companion, with a second human requiring a second ticket. The service produced $12.4m in fiscal 2026, up from $5.8m a year earlier, while companywide revenue fell 18.5pc to $394.8m during the same period. A midsummer transatlantic flight from New York to Dublin costs $9,900 one way, while a domestic flight to San Francisco costs $7,450.
