Ryanair expects to carry a record 310,000 passengers through its Irish airports over the August Bank Holiday weekend. The airline confirmed these record traffic figures demonstrate how more and more passengers are choosing to fly Ryanair for its unbeatable low-fares, route choice, and industry-leading reliability. Ryanair’s Director of Comms, Jade Kirwan, stated the airline looks forward to welcoming families, friends, and holidaymakers on board as it delivers the busiest weekend of the year across its Irish airports.

Ryanair operates from multiple Irish airports including Dublin, Cork, Shannon, and Knock, with a significant presence at each. The airline’s network from Ireland includes routes to popular sun hotspots like Alicante, Lanzarote and Malta, as well as top city break destinations like Krakow, Milan and Porto.

The airline continues to grow its operations in Ireland, with recent announcements including a €50m investment in a new maintenance facility at Shannon Airport. Ryanair is Europe’s No.1 airline and one of the largest employers in the Irish aviation sector.
