Air France-KLM has decided to extend the amortisation period for its Airbus A350, A320neo, and A321neo types and its Boeing B787s from 20 to 25 years, as it considers that this represents the most likely period of use for these aircraft.
At the end of the period, the group, comprising full ownership of Air France, HOP!, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Transavia France, and minority ownership in Air Calédonie, Kenya Airways, SAS Group, and WestJet Group, totalled a fleet of thirty A320neo, thirty-four A321neo, forty-two A350-900s, fifteen B787-10s, and twenty-three B787-9s, among other aircraft types.
Over the next five years, it expects to add fifty-five more A350s, six A350Fs, and 106 A320neo and A321neo units.
Air France-KLM spokesperson shared: “The group considers that this represents the most likely period of use for these aircraft.”
