Ryanair and Google Cloud have announced a new five-year partnership that will deploy Google Workspace and Gemini Enterprise to 35,000 employees across the airline’s network. Europe’s largest airline has adopted Google Cloud’s data and AI platform to support its growth trajectory towards 300 million passengers annually by 2034. The partnership includes the use of Gemini Enterprise, an agentic AI platform, which Ryanair has been integrating to automate decision-making processes, optimise flight crew logistics, and support corporate productivity across its operations .

The airline has adopted a dual-cloud strategy through this agreement, strengthening its infrastructure resilience by utilising multiple cloud providers. Should one cloud platform experience technical issues, critical airline services can adapt quickly to maintain flight and customer service operations without interruption. Ryanair has been planning to utilise Google DeepMind models, including AlphaEvolve and WeatherNext, to assist with fleet operations and maintenance scheduling, while the deployment of Google Workspace with Gemini has been modernising its workflow systems by replacing existing collaboration infrastructure .

The financial terms of the agreement have not been disclosed publicly, though the aviation industry has been expanding its use of AI across customer service, operations, and maintenance to improve efficiency and reliability

Ryanair CEO Eddie Wilson shared, “We need to ensure we have excellent infrastructure resilience, and our new dual-cloud strategy provides this, alongside technology partners that match our speed and relentless focus on efficiency.”
