Shandrani Beachcomber Resort & Spa is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, marking three and a half decades of welcoming guests from around the world. The anniversary has followed the resort’s transformation in 2025, which has brought a new chapter for Shandrani Beachcomber. To mark the occasion, the resort is hosting a programme of weekly experiences celebrating Mauritian culture and hospitality, with selected activations running through to mid-December.

Since welcoming its first guests in 1991, Shandrani Beachcomber Resort & Spa has been one of Mauritius’ leading beachfront resorts. Alongside the anniversary programme, guests are greeted by a grand entrance that leads to a plethora of activities and dining experiences; the newly renovated Le Grand Port restaurant, the signature Shandrani Surprise Cocktail, Chef Coopen’s delicious crab burger and a variety of hands-on workshops. From cocktail-making and culinary experiences to napkin-folding classes, guests enjoy plenty to enjoy while soaking up the resort’s exceptional atmosphere and experiencing an authentic taste of island life.

To mark its 35th anniversary, Shandrani Beachcomber Resort & Spa has curated a series of weekly experiences celebrating Mauritian culture and hospitality. Tuesday evenings feature a Mauritian Evening at Le Grand Port with a live sega performance, traditional Mauritian buffet and island-inspired décor. Wednesday afternoons host a Management Cocktail Reception, where guests meet the hotel’s leadership team over drinks in a relaxed setting. Saturday mornings offer 35-minute Yoga Sessions, held outdoors or within the spa, offering a moment of relaxation and reflection. Saturday evenings feature a Sunset DJ & Barbecue at the Boathouse from 5pm-6:30pm, with laid-back music, barbecue favourites and ocean views. Nightly rates start from £219 for 2 adults sharing on a half board basis.
