  • RX code placed on Saudia flights to six domestic destinations
  • Single-ticket bookings and through-checked baggage available
  • Integration links modern and traditional airline systems
  • Business Class guests get Saudia lounge access and priority boarding
  • Loyalty programme reciprocity planned for future phase

Riyadh Air and Saudia have started the initial phase of their strategic cooperation agreement, with Riyadh Air connecting to Saudia’s passenger service system to enable codeshare on selected domestic routes from Riyadh. The RX code will appear on Saudia flights to Abha, Qassim, Dammam, Jeddah, Madinah and Tabuk. Guests gain single-ticket bookings, through-checked baggage and better connections at King Khalid International Airport, where both airlines operate from multiple terminals. The move supports closer integration of Saudi Arabia’s aviation sector and expands network options for passengers.

The integration represents a world-first technical achievement in the aviation industry, linking Riyadh Air’s modern digital Offer-Order platform directly with Saudia’s traditional Passenger Service System. The technical integration required three years of collaborative development alongside technology partners FLYR, INK and Amadeus. Riyadh Air Business Class guests gain access to Saudia’s airport lounges, fast-track security and priority boarding when connecting. In a later phase of the partnership, Saudia will place its code on flights operated by Riyadh Air.

The two airlines plan to launch reciprocal benefits between Riyadh Air’s Safir and Saudia’s Alfursan loyalty programs, allowing travellers to earn and redeem points interchangeably and share lounge network access. This historic partnership supports Saudi Arabia’s broader Vision 2030 goals to transform the Kingdom into a global aviation and tourism hub. The codeshare covers routes connecting Riyadh Air’s hub at King Khalid International Airport to six domestic destinations.
