Electric Picnic 2027 has sold out after tickets went on sale on Friday morning through the festival’s loyalty scheme and general sale. Organisers confirmed that tickets, which went on sale at 10am, have been snapped up with no acts yet announced for the 2027 festival. The event will take place at Stradbally Hall in Co Laois from Friday 27 to Sunday 29 August, with capacity remaining at 80,000.
This sell-out comes less than a week after 80,000 people attended this year’s Electric Picnic, which featured Lewis Capaldi, Gorillaz and Fontaines D.C. as Main Stage headliners. CMAT, Zara Larsson, Amble, sombr, Van Morrison, Wolf Alice, The Mary Wallopers, The Saw Doctors and JADE also appeared across the weekend. More than 800 performances took place across 50 stages at the festival.
Festival director Melvin Benn confirmed earlier this week that there would be no increase in either ticket prices or capacity for Electric Picnic in 2027. This marks the second year in a row that tickets for the following year’s festival have sold out soon after going on sale, with Electric Picnic 2026 selling out within minutes when tickets were released last September. Several artists who appeared last weekend have since announced major Irish shows for 2027, with Fontaines D.C. playing two nights at Slane Castle next June, sombr announcing shows at Malahide Castle and Belsonic, and Lola Young playing Dublin’s Fairview Park.
Melvin Benn, Festival Director, shared: “There will be no increase in either ticket prices or capacity for Electric Picnic in 2027.” Benn added: “The loyalty scheme has proved effective in rewarding returning festival-goers with priority access.” Benn confirmed: “We are already working on the 2027 programme despite the line-up remaining unannounced.”
