Ryanair and Vodafone Ireland have extended their long-standing partnership with a renewed nine-year contract. Ryanair which operates across 35 countries carrying 214m passengers this year has been a Vodafone Ireland customer since 2001. Vodafone Ireland currently provides connectivity, cloud, security and managed services to Ryanair supporting the airline across more than 400 locations in Europe including its offices, hangars and training centres as it connects thousands of the airline’s employees.

The two companies stated the renewed contract will support Ryanair’s continued growth ambitions including its goal of carrying 300m passengers a year by 2034 while it will also further strengthen its digital operations across Europe. As part of the partnership Vodafone Ireland provides a single managed framework for the airline’s telecommunications, cybersecurity and managed services. It also supports thousands of connected devices across the airline including about 26,000 handheld devices used by pilots, cabin crew, operations and engineers and ground staff.
