The Club Aspire lounge at London Heathrow’s Terminal 5 will be closing its doors on 2 November 2026 and reopening in early spring 2027 as No1 Lounges’ flagship England lounge with a 28pc larger footprint intended to address crowding, limited power and limited circulation. The new No1 Lounge will grow from 4,680 to 5,995 square feet while seating rises from 139 to 152. No1 states the space has been designed to provide more personal space providing about 16pc more space per guest and power at 95pc of seats.
The current Club Aspire which is situated near Gate A18 in Heathrow’s Terminal 5A admits passengers carrying Priority Pass, DragonPass and LoungeKey cards subject to capacity along with paying customers. Its proposition offers the usual array of food, drinks, a seat and airfield views with visits capped at three hours prior to departure. Open daily from 5am to 9pm the lounge has earned praise for its staff though reviews return to the same complaint that the room is tight for demand.
No1 released three renderings of the upcoming lounge including one general seating area, The Pantry and The Orangery. In the general seating render the colour palette makes the first impression with black and white entrance tile giving way to herringbone wood, tobacco-coloured banquettes and mustard chairs while brass sconces and dark timber screens sharpen an otherwise soft cream-coloured room. No1 states stone, oak, linen and brass will support its interpretation of a contemporary England home with more solo seating and rooms offering different levels of activity and privacy.
