The 191st Munich Oktoberfest ran for 16 days and concluded on Sunday night with its ceremonial gun salute at the Theresienwiese fairgrounds. Authorities attributed crowd management success to an updated security framework that deployed advanced camera monitoring and temporary entry restrictions. The event ran smoothly despite record-high weekday turnout which spiked up to 28.9pc in the second week.
