Dublin is just one of nine large airports in Europe where summer 2023 traffic surpassed the levels of 2019, according to Olivier Jankovec, Director General of ACI Europe.

Athens (+10.2pc), Istanbul-Sabiha, Gökçen (+8.2pc), Lisbon (+5.6pc), Paris-Orly (+8.7pc), Palma de Mallorca (+2.9pc), Stansted (+1.3pc), Dublin (+1.0pc) and Antalya (+0.9pc) all surpassed their 2019 Q3 levels.

While still remaining –5.2pc below its pre-pandemic (Q3 2019) volumes, the recovery of Rome-FCO accelerated as the Italian hub achieved the fastest year-on-year growth among the top 20 airports, with a remarkable +26.1pc.
