The link between the South East Greenway and Inistioge, Slieverue, and Glenmore in Kilkenny is a step closer after a tender process was completed to appoint technical consultants for contract supervision, administration, and handover.
The next section of the greenway will be Lot 5a (Ferrybank to Curraghmore), with Glas Civil Engineering Ltd awarded the contract.
Fáilte Ireland has also engaged The Paul Hogarth Company for an interpretation, wayfinding, and orientation plan for the greenway, which can be used to apply for funding for its implementation. Public consultation meetings are taking place based on the findings of a report by Wexford, Kilkenny, and Waterford county council officials.
