Malawi drops visa requirement for Ireland passport holders

The Malawi government has removed the requirement for entry visas for 79 nationalities worldwide, including holders of Ireland passports, who previously were entitled to visa on arrival. This move was implemented to boost Malawi’s growing tourist industry.

Visas are no longer required by the following passport holders:Antigua & Barbuda, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Belgium, Belize, Britain, Brunei, Canada, China, Cyprus, Dominica, Fiji, Finland, France, Gambia, Germany, Ghana, Grenada, Guyana, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Kiribati, Malaysia, Maldives, Malta, New Guinea, New Zealand, Norway, Nuaru, Papua New Guinea, Poland , Portugal, Russia, Sierra Leone, Singapore, Soloman Islands, Sri Lanka, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Sweden, The Netherlands, Tonga, Trinidad & Tobago, Tuvalu, United States of America, Western Samoa
