In a €2.5bn insurance case related to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, aircraft lessors in Dublin have expressed concerns about their personal safety if their identity is revealed.
An expert witness in the case has voiced fears for their safety if their identity is disclosed, highlighting the potential risks associated with being involved in the high-stakes legal proceedings.
Former Irish ambassador to Moscow, Justin Harman, has supported these concerns in a letter, emphasising the legitimacy of the risks faced by the witness in relation to the insurance case following the events surrounding Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
