An unspecified number of passengers missed flights after a collision that caused the death of a motorcyclist and caused the closure on the M50 at the Liffey toll bridge for seven hours. It resulted in a full road closure between Junction 6 Blanchardstown and Junction 7 Lucan, with severe delays resulting.

Gardaí and emergency services diverted traffic at Junction 7, and advised motorists to avoid the area.

Traffic updates report 90-minute delays from Junction 10 (Ballymount) northbound and 30-minute delays from Junction 4 (Ballymun) southbound, with additional delays on Finglas Road at Glasnevin.

The deceased motor cyclist was Derek Martin (42) from the Dublin 11 area.
