Three Belgian travel journalists explored Cork city, Kinsale, and Cobh, organized by Tourism Ireland and Fáilte Ireland to promote the new Ryanair route from Brussels Charleroi to Cork.

The visit aimed to promote Cork’s tourism highlights and ease of access for Belgian tourists through their articles and online content.

Their itinerary featured a Harbour Discovery boat trip, visits to the Midleton Distillery and Charles Fort, a cycling tour, and culinary experiences in Cork city. Picture shows the group with one of Ireland’s leading tour gudies Máirín Ahern and Andrew O’Riordan, Ocean Escapes.

Karen van der Horst, Tourism Ireland’s Manager for Northern Europe, said: There really is no substitute for being able to come here and experience what Ireland has to offer at first-hand. The articles and content these journalists create and share will inspire Belgian holidaymakers to visit in 2024 and beyond.”
