Three black men are suing an airline for racial discrimination after a female cabin crew member three black men sue after cabin crew member ordered their removal from aircraft over alleged body odour.

It happened on an American Airlines flight in January. The lawsuit alleges that the men, along with five others, were targeted because of their race when they were ordered off the plane in Phoenix.

The men, who did not know each other and were seated separately, were allowed to reboard after an hour as there were no other available flights to New York that evening.

American Airlines stated that they take all claims of discrimination seriously and are investigating the matter, emphasising that the claims do not align with their values of caring for people.
