Universal’s first English theme park will be located near Bedford, with plans for Europe’s largest theme park, a 500-room hotel, and dining area, open 365 days a year

Economic benefits analysis suggests the project will generate nearly £50bn for the UK, creating 20,000 jobs during construction and 8,000 jobs once operational

Universal has acquired land once occupied by Kempston Hardwick brickworks, with plans for a world-class park based on popular films, video games, and stories. Construction could start in 2025 with a projected opening date in 2030.

Despite competition and potential risks such as weather and transport challenges, Universal plans to seek planning permission and invest billions in the project, aiming to offer new and innovative entertainment experiences.
