Lindblad Expeditions considers expansion into river cruise

Lindblad Expeditions is focusing on different initiatives to grow, including river cruising and taking advantage of a partnership with National Geographic signed in November 2023.

Founder Sven Lindblad told Lindblad Expeditions’ second quarter earnings call that the company is working on a co-branded approach to increase passenger sourcing in Europe, with new marketing campaigns planned in the United States and possible expansion of charter products like river cruises.

Sales are being launched in Europe this quarter, with further expansions into Europe planned later in the year as Lindblad aims to attract new audiences leveraging the National Geographic brand.

Lindblad is working on new co-branded advertising assets with Disney-owned National Geographic to appeal to a diverse audience of potential guests, with a strong marketing push and cross-selling campaigns in the United States.
