Fingal’s county manager has informed councillors that Dublin Airport’s passenger cap can potentially be increased to 40m.

AnnMarie Farrelly stated in a memo to councillors that the development is accepted in principle, pending compliance with additional planning conditions.

The parallel lifting of the passenger cap is contingent on meeting other planning requirements.

A Bórd Pleanála inspector said in 202 that the passenger cap was not a planning issue but Fingal County Council are still processing the issue.
