The Finland embassy hosted an event for Finnair in Dublin in which Anssi Partanen, Finnair’s Market Director, London and Ireland updated guests about the importance of the Irish market to Finnair, the aviation industry as a whole, and also the growing popularity of the Nordics as a destination.
Finnair offers smooth and easy transfers between flights from as little as 35 minutes, thanks to all flights operating from the same terminal. Finnair flies 8w Dublin to Helsinki, slightly down from 10w pre-pandemic.
Finnair flies from its Helsinki hub to the most important trade cities in Asia such as Singapore, Hong Kong and Tokyo. From May, the carrier – which celebrated its centenary in 2023 – will resume flights to Nagoya in Japan with a twice-weekly service for the coming summer season.
Anssi Partanen, Finnair Market Director Europe, shared: “Finnair is proud to have flown direct to the vibrant city of Dublin since 1994 – and indirectly via London from the 1970s.”
