Avia Solutions Group (ASG) placed a direct order for 40 Boeing 737-8s with options for 40 more, its first purchase from Boeing as a full-service lease specialist.
The company, originally from Lithuania and now based in Dublin, primarily provides aircraft, crew, maintenance, and insurance lease packages and holds 11 air operator certificates on six continents.
ASG, which currently operates a mixed fleet of 214 aircraft, aims to expand its capacity to meet seasonal demands and strengthen its presence in the Asia-Pacific region.
This deal is significant for Boeing, contributing to their total of 272 year-to-date orders for 737 MAX aircraft in 2024, as Boeing recovers from a recent strike and focuses on production quality improvements.
