Air Canada will reinstate direct seasonal flights between Ottawa International Airport and London Heathrow starting from March 31, 2025, after a four-year hiatus due to COVID-19.

The service is set to operate from March to October, with plans for year-round flights once the airline introduces its new Airbus A321XLR fleet.

This new route will enhance access between the capitals of Canada and England, adding a second non-stop option between Europe and Ottawa, alongside the existing Air France service from Paris.

Lesley Pincombe, Ottowa Tourism’s vice president, shared: “Ottawa’s connectivity with the UK has always been an essential part of our city’s global outreach, and the return of this direct route will be a huge boon for both leisure and business travellers, “We’re excited to be able to showcase our dynamic city to more tourists and business delegates from London and across Europe.”
