Lufthansa Group has sold five A320-200Ns and three A321-200NX aircraft operated by Eurowings to an undisclosed lessor, with plans to lease them back for a duration of six years.
The transaction, advised by global law firm Freshfields, generated over USD 400m in proceeds for Lufthansa, closing between July and November 2024.
The funds raised from this sale will be allocated to support Lufthansa Group’s ongoing fleet renewal program.
Eurowings currently operates a fleet that includes seven A320-200Ns and five A321-200NX, in addition to various other aircraft types, as part of its extensive operations.
