The Dublin Airport Community Fund was awarded the title of Best in Community Involvement at the Fingal Business Awards 2024 for its contribution of €2.5m funding to local clubs and community groups in north Dublin.
The Fund is set to reopen for another round of funding, making an additional €250,000 available to successful applicants, with the new autumn funding round accepting applications until Friday, October 25.
In 2023, over €540,000 was distributed to 111 community groups, with an extra €250,000 allocated earlier this year to support more than 50 projects, showcasing the Fund’s commitment to local initiatives.
Launched in 2017 with a total investment of €10m over 25 years, the Fund invites applications twice a year across six categories, fostering community development while supporting students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds through educational programmes.
