Air Canada plans to introduce free inflight wifi on long-haul routes starting in 2026, enhancing connectivity for passengers.

The initiative will begin in May 2025 for Aeroplan members, covering North American and “Sun” markets, before expanding to international flights.

The rollout includes Air Canada, Air Canada Rouge, and most Air Canada Express aircraft, with Q400 aircraft set to offer fast, free wifi for the first time.

The trend toward free inflight wifi is gaining momentum across the airline industry, with various carriers implementing similar services to enhance passenger experience.
