British Airways has announced further schedule changes due to engine issues, which have already impacted long-haul flights and led to cancellations on the Heathrow to Abu Dhabi route.

The airline has been facing delays in the delivery of engines and parts from Rolls-Royce, which has resulted in adjustments to its flight schedules for its Boeing 787 aircraft.

British Airways emphasized that these actions were taken to maintain customer certainty regarding travel plans, as the resolution to the engine issues is not expected to be swift.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding the reported cut to the Abu Dhabi route, the airline did not confirm the cancellation but acknowledged ongoing operational challenges due to engine supply chain constraints.
